Fire Chaplains Answer the Call

Fire Department personnel face danger and uncertainty every shift they serve. At the start of their day, they have no idea what they will encounter as they serve the community. They have no idea whether or not they will survive and go home to their family. In the midst of a pandemic, they respond to structure fires, auto accidents, cardiac arrests, and many other stressful and traumatizing situations. Day after day, week after week, year after year.

A Grandview Fire Chaplain makes himself or herself available to the Firefighters, EMT’s, Paramedics, and their families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Why? To offer hope, to offer encouragement, and to offer spiritual and emotional support to these selfless heroes and their families.
